Did your roommate keep the dog?
Alas, no. She really did want to bring Penny along, and kept asking in jest (but sort of meaning it), but I was adamant that it would be unfair & irresponsible to bring Penny across town and make her live with us in a new place. Penny's a street dog, and she's got a good thing going on where she lives - okay, flatmate (and I) were spoiling her rotten, but even prior to that she's on good terms with the guys at the bakers and the butchers and the people next to her car park keep an eye on her and help out when she has puppies. Moving her with us? Just not fair.
But if the smallest of the puppies, the one that we'd sort of adopted, had still been around, I might have buckled re bringing him. 'Cause he was all pathetic and needy, much as The Cat Daniel was in the first place. Sadly, however, all eight of Penny's puppies vanished in Mysterious Circumstances, so the issue of whether or not to bring Kane remained moot.
(Susan) Hope you're feeling better, love!
Cadbury's Creme Eggs...they're sooooo sweet I can't really cope with them, but when I do have one, maybe once a year or so, I'm always surprised by how nice they are.
I'm thinking I maybe need to just cut out sugar and flour from my diet, because I swear that I feel
bad
when I eat sugary things. Or drink sugary things.
Stupid world.

Despite some of the creepier Canbury Bunny commercials, the eggs are still gooey eggs of Yum.
We had leftover ham and eggs for breakfast this morning, followed by hot cross buns. We need to make a potato dish for dinner today- we're making au gratin with goat cheese and garlic. There will be 14 people at this Easter dinner. 14!!!! If it weren't for the fact that my dad and my cousin recently back from New Zealand (where she was just approved for permanent residency) are going to be there I'd blow it off. SO many people. I will need to be careful not to drink too much to try to overcome social anxiety.
Creme eggs freak me out too, but I like the mini eggs. Hey that makes me Perkins!
t runs away to admire my newly discovered foaminess and coolness
Fay! Hello missy, glad to hear you are home for a bit. Let family pamper you some.
ah yes... FAY! Glad to see you in these parts again. You have been missed.
Timelies all. Don't forget to wear new clothes for luck today!
Laura has a new tag! And so does Almare, but, you know, whatever.
I'm supposed to wear new clothes on Easter? I don't have any new clothes. Hell, I barely knew it was Easter.
Boo hoo. My guests are both gone. Perkins left at 9:30 to drive to Chicago, and SA just left a few minutes ago to go back to school (she has 3 presentations this week that she needs to work on today -- yikes!).
As for me, it's cold and rainy and despite getting 6 or 7 hours of sleep last night, I'm exhausted. I think I'm going to crawl back in bed to try to get another hour or so before I head off to the family for Easter dinner.
Mmmm. Soon my mom will make me nummy food. Happy Easter, y'all.
sending out the ma to Brendon.
I have a very pretty table for Easter , which for DH, sister, BIL and me is Eat to much food for brunch day. I even have a platter with cadbuy mini eggs , jeely beans, and mini choclate bunnies.
I need to shower now that the ham and gratin are in the oven.
