Hi Fay! I'm happy to hear you're back in the land o' the parentals. Congrats on the new apartment. Did your roommate keep the dog?

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I like them in general, but have no urge now.
Perkins, I've never brought myself to taste them. The whole egg thing freaks me out. The one good thing about being a grown-up, I don't have to try.
Much knee~ma to Parker. I'd wave back, but she's probably got her back to me.
Yay for Fay being home and good food and whatnot.
Kara is an unbeliever. Yesterday she told me that she was going to hide the eggs. I told her that was the Easter Bunny's job. She said she was going to be the Easter Bunny. "I smell like an Easter bunny!"
Me: What does an Easter bunny smell like?
Raptorgirl: Like a fuzzy blanket or sumpin. If it smells like a bunny, and it hops like a bunny....
Nick came over this afternoon and his girl (there's always a girl) asked Kara if she was excited about the Easter Bunny coming. Kara looked at her like she was crazy and said, 'I'M going to be the bunny!"
This evening she got out of bed to ask if she could make up the baskets.
Kara=cutiehead
We colored eggs tonight. It's the first Easter we've done it since Nick was about 12.
She was General Patton. She decided the colors, wouldn't let me help her once I showed her how, waved the spoon about (splattering color everywhere) and had a blast coloring a dozen eggs in a variety of springy colors. Aidan tried to eat them. It was fun.
Kara=cute.
t waves at Fay
I'm in the midst of a vicious carpal tunnel flareup that somehow spread all the way to my elbows and shoulders (which means it's probably not really CTS anymore, but anyway, it hurts). It's been a mild annoyance for weeks, but I did something to it picking up Annabel this morning, and after I made the mistake of ignoring it through three LJ posts and an attempt at a fourth, my arm just kinda quit on me. Almost any attempt at moving my right shoulder or picking up anything moderately heavy (like the resident outsized 11-month-old) hurts.
I know I shouldn't type much, and this is the first time I've been near a computer in four hours. My hivemind question is whether or not I should be attempting to expand my range of motion through gentle stretching of if that'll make it worse. 'Cuz I need my arm back sooner rather than later. Monday would be nice.
Susan, Can you get someone to gently squeeze along your shoulder and down your arm? Is it numb and tingly? You could have compressed the brachial plexus nerves anywhere from spine to fingers. If you've been typing quite a lot, I recommend a tennis ball or something similar to gently rub near your elbow for the flexor and extensor tendon attachments. (Go across the inside and outside of your elbow horizontally, not vertically down arm - it'll clear the area out better.) Try to stretch out your neck to the other side, as well as try to stretch your pecs on the affected side. I would probably rest tonight, and maybe even ice if there's swelling, and then try some range of motion and gentle stretching tomorrow. You might also like to take your favorite NSAID - aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.
That's what I'd do for my massage clients.
Thanks, d. I'll rest it tonight as best I can and try those stretches/massages.
Anyone around?
I'm sorta here. My arm is feeling some better, though I wouldn't want to type a term paper or lift weights or anything.
