'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

amusing comic strip, just because.

Hubby and I are horribly lax about security. I also need to send to Pennsylvania for a b. cert., if nothing else so I can get my time of birth. You passport-having people and your casual travel make me jealous.

Back to work.

vw, beware of chicken soup! If you're stomach is still fussy, the chicken and the noddles would not seem as nice when you taste them the second time. NIce warm broth is good.

Get some sleep and feel better!

Thrive to spite them

I'm not sure where the house was located -- somewhere up north (it was snowing) to my Southern ear they sounded New Yorkish. It was a neighborhood with lots of houses nearby, etc.

Maybe I've just been lucky in my neighborhoods, but I've never felt seriously threatened when I've been out by myself at night. And I've walked ten blocks from the Downtown train station in Philadelphia to my boarding house at 2 AM. Twice. Granted, I was on a state of alertness comparable to DefCon 5 (or whatever the highest level is), but nothing pinged me as being potentially dangerous as I travelled.

I've had people offer me rides, I've been stalked, but no one's tried anything menacing. Hubby says I give off an air of "mess with me and die." I wish I knew how I did that. I can believe it of someone like ita who's trained and all, but I'm a short fat woman who talks big but has no training. Occasionally I have a knife. But that's it.

SS card and birth certificate I understand, because they're so rarely used.

I use both of mine on a fairly regular basis. (The birth certificate because I don't *have* a passport, and the SS card for work things.)

Though it occurs to me that I'm not actually sure where I've put my SS card at the moment.

Hmm. Must find that.

My birth certificate looks like a credit card. It's plastic, not paper. My certificate of foreign birth (which I stopped travelling with after 9/11) is probably with my SS card. I cleared a bunch of non-essential things out of the purse before our last roadtrip and put them somewhere "safe".

My SS card is actually in my wallet. My birth certificate is in my safe. I should probably put my SS card in my safe as well. It's fun having a safe. It has the dial with the numbers and everything.

I should check the safe. They could be in the safe.
