Cut a heart out of a piece of wax paper (or cardboard), put it on rolled-out dough, and trace around it with a sharp knife.
Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
You could cut a heart out of paper, lay it on the dough and cut around it, crimp a paper towel tube or something similar (aluminum foil, plastic wrap) into the shape of a heart and try that. If you have heavy duty aluminum foil, maybe you could roll a length into a tube, flatten it, crease the edges very sharp, form a heart shape out of the length of foil and use that.

In other words, carve your heart out yourself. t /Dashboard Confessional
another x-post with natter:
Cookie update: I cut out a cardboard heart and it worked great. My slightly crooked heart cookies are very cute. Thanks for the help :)
Hec, do you happen to remember which compilation it was that included Bargain Store, and uh... something else that was clearly Dolly Parton?
Jolene? Coat of Many Colors?
The Best of Dolly Parton (1975).
I also like this compilation: Mission Chapel Memories - which has all those songs and more. This comp highlights her songwriting.
They're prepping Mom for surgery.
I'm much better this morning (except I'm tired and sore). And DH is now getting what we had. *sigh*
Cashmere, I'm so glad you're feeling better but sorry that DH is getting it now. You poor guys! This has not been a fun week.
Much ~ma headed towards your mom and the surgeons. Let us know how things go.
I just finished my "review" of the poetry slam I went to Friday night. I think it's pretty good. It's an open assignment...we could do it any time this semester. I'm glad to be getting it out of the way early on, 'cause I'm sure things will just keep getting crazier as the semester goes on.
Cashmere, your mom is in my thoughts and prayers, and so are you (and poor sick Christopher, and Owen too--just because he's Owenicious).
Did you get any sleep? Is your tummy all settled, now?

vw, you're smart to get that assignment out of the way, now. I think that might be the difference between going to school at 18, and going to school as an actual adult.

I totally agree. I've noticed a few other differences as well. One of them is my great desire for feedback...on everything that I do for school. I was telling this story to Hec yesterday. We handed in our first poetry assignments for creative writing about two weeks ago. Right before we handed them in one of my classmates told me that she hoped she got a check-plus and no comments from the professor, because she was sick of working on the poem and didn't want the feedback. I'm the complete opposite of that (although I was still thrilled to get a check-plus). Even if I decide not to revise a particular assignment, I can use that feedback on other things that I do later. I'm a feedback whore, really.
