My whole life, I've never loved anything else.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Also, good luck in the job hunt, Kristin!

brillig

I've seen many a listing of children named Arwen and Eowyn, though not so many Theodens or Eomers. I think I saw an Aragorn as a middle name, and more than one set of twins named Luke and Leia.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen took a staggering, unsupported step this morning. He's still very much in favor of crawling.

Cindy, thanks for the reminder! I called Deena. Who has a rich, lovely phone voice. I can't see how anyone could say "no" to her on the phone.

I've got to return one of my dining chairs this evening because it's got a huge flaw (that someone tried, badly, to cover with wood putty). Feh.

Ima go take a nap.

Up with the sun

[A post divided with lines of tildes because I don't want to serial, but these sentiments don't belong in one post to me.]

-t, I'm so sorry. That must be awful for you.

~~~~~~~~
Susan, I'm so sorry about your dad. I hope you get your five more years.
~~~~~~~~

Deena, I'm sorry for the news on Aidan. But I chime in on what so many people have said -- great strides have been made in understanding and treating autism, and I know Aidan will get great care.

~~~~~
Stephanie, my old boss had a similar dilemma with Ellie, and he went with Elianna. (I'm not completely sure how they spelled it, but it was pronounced Ellie-aw-nuh, not Elllie Anna.) I do think a formal name is usually better for birth-certificate purposes.
Shit's all sorts of different now.
I do think a formal name is usually better for birth-certificate purposes.
Hence, the Emeline.
I am miserable. Still sick and blech. And we thing the baby is teething.
I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs
{{t-}} I'm sorry. Much ~ma and strength to you.
Susan: I hope things turn out as well as possible for your father.
Deena: I'm glad Aidan's autism was caught at an early stage.
Aimée: Sorry you're still feeling sick.
March in general: Back off the Bitches already!
Mostly lurking...
I just had therapy. Surprisingly, she wasn't that upset about the whole decreasing the dosage of medication thing. I think her exact words were, "Well, now that we know that's not effective, we won't do that again, right?"
"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola
Although of course Emma is a perfectly good name with a very long history. Among others, I was named after Queen Emma of France (and maybe the Norway one, too). And there was a Queen Emma of Hawaii.
That's just a historical tidbit, not a suggestion that you run out and change the birth certificate or anything.
