Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm glad it went well, sj.
Sorry about the part, Aimee, but I hope you keep auditioning.
Nicole and I just got back from walking around downtown Denver, which was fun. We bought books, and chocolate, and one copy each of the Incredibles, and then had lunch, and now I have a puppy trying to smoosh me.
Very good day.
The Incredibles! Ooooh, I want to watch!
Aimee, sorry you're sick for the home. I know just how you feel.
Ah, woe is I, for I am now perched on the horns of dilemna. I have splurged part of my tax refund on 'The Incredibles' and 'Firefly' DVDs. Which of them do I watch first? Or do I mosey down to the neighborhood bar and sign up for their weekly Saturday poker league?
Some days are better than others.
But first, food.
Sail, hurry! You can have a chocolate dipped strawberry if you make it here fast enough.
Oh Nicole, that's just
mean!!
I want a chocolate-dipped strawberry!
Also, I want my fucking oven to work. I don't understand what's going on. It heats up to 400 or whatever, and the heat coils are red, and then it inexplicably shuts off.
Thomash has a new tag.
P-C, are you saying the oven shuts off or just that the coils cool down and aren't red anymore?
Also, for the strawberry tauntiness, see if I take you anywhere for nice food when you are here, you evil woman.
Hmm. P-C, the oven just doesn't want you to eat real food.
It was a very pretty day here today...but I was going to go to the RODEO with some coworkers, but I forgot to add on the time it would take to get there, so now it's too late to go. Doh.
And I want the girl to email me BACK again, so we can actually like...set up the date.
Yay for picture of Teacup Boy and sj!
Aimee, I saw a romance book today called something like "The Trouble with Emmaline" (or something) and was v. amused.
On WFMU, they were just threatening to play nothing but Crosby, Stills and Nash over and over again unless more people pledge to the station.
P-C, are you saying the oven shuts off or just that the coils cool down and aren't red anymore?
I can't tell the difference. There are two dials, one with OFF - BAKE - TIME BAKE (what the hell is the difference between bake and time bake?) - BROIL. And then the other with the temperature. Above the temp dial is a red light that turns on if I turn the dial past about 375. So I turn to BAKE and I turn to 400.
The red light goes on, and the coils heat up, fine. A few minutes later, I hear a *click* as the red light goes off. I look inside the oven, and the coils are no longer red either. And then, a few minutes later, the red light clicks on again. And then a few minutes later, it clicks off. If I increase the temp on the dial a tad, the red light turns on again and will stay on if I bring the temp back to 400. And then it will, of course, click off a minute or so later. In this case, about twenty seconds.
