I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Actually my article came from Foundation for the Family, so it's not just from any nutjob.

This is the source of both the gift book and the mothers' group rantings I posted earlier. Was given the FftF "How to raise your children book" for Christmas, and was suckered into attending one of their Bible studies prayer groups mother meetings a month ago. The best part of the mother's meeting was being advised that I should "turn to Jesus when my love tank isn't full."

In related news, I just learned the ASL sign for "lesbian." I'm not sure if I should be offended or not. You make an "L" with your right hand and put the webbing between your thumb and forefinger under your lower lip, palm on chin.

(pictures people all over the US sitting at their computers doing this)

(now pictures about half of them wiggling their tongues)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I was laughing out loud (and demanded a second opinion) when my ex-gf taught me this.

My reaction exactly. But given that I'd just been through a discussion of how some signs are offensive to deaf people, I was thinking that this is a sign that I guess could be offensive to lesbian people. Or that the existance of the word "lesbian" could be offensive to some conservative people, or something. Having humor seems to be a touchy subject these days.

Of course, the fact that I learned this sign while learning signs to use with my baby will probably offend my entire family, so at least SOMEONE is being offended.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

A telltale sign of paganism is nudity.

Cool, so you can blame it on heredity. "I was born that way."

Psychologist Robert Stoller said, “Masculinity is an achievement.”

That's nice. Every morning I find I've grown stubble. Apparently I can be proud of that.

Cause girls? Both icky and confusing.

Well, true. Of course, I kind of like that.

Meanwhile, holy hell. I have been watching David Attenborough's Life in the Freezer. There's a valley in Antarctica, completely bare of snow, that is the most arid place on earth. It hasn't rained or snowed there in centuries. Any precipitation would quickly evaporate anyway. The wind through the valley is so dry it sucks up any moisture present. He passed the mummified remains of a crabeater seal, 70 miles from the shore. It was perfectly preserved. Attenborough comments in passing that it's probably about three. Thousand. Years. Old.

I'm still freaked. Seriously, seriously freaked. (Checking prices to Antarctica too, but mostly freaked.) Oh, carnivorous ducks too. Not in the Valley of the Freeze-Dried. But, ducks. Carnivorous. SOOOO CUUUUTE!!!

Thanks! It neatly sums up how I'm feeling right about now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

They do say the best signs are easy to remember.

HA! I so did this!

(now pictures about half of them wiggling their tongues)

Of course I did this, too.

My throat is hurty this morning. Feh. However, since the boy slept for 8 hours straight, that makes up for it.
