You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Oh, Cindy, I'm so sorry. Many brackets and prayers to your sil and family.

That absolutely maddening article on women in sports reminds me of a special speaker we once had at our church (our church which supported a Christian school, I might add...the Christian school that I went to). His entire message was on the evils of a Christian school - that because they are smaller, there are more opportunities for students to become active in school extracurriculars. According to him, this is bad because it takes them away from important church activities. And, obviously, if these same students went to a public school, there's no way they would make the basketball team, or whatever, and so they could be more active at church. It was crazy and made people furious.

We're not all that crazy.

We're not all that crazy.

Oh, you're that crazy. It just has more to do with curtains, and less with women in the church.

(Okay, kidding!)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So the idea there is, if only women didn't play sports they wouldn't be making those awful, ugly faces?

Which is probably what's turning all the boys gay. IJS. It's all connected.

Ok...you have a point. We (or I) may be that crazy, but in less ... um ... something ways.

This would explain a lot.

You know, that's a really solid argument against childbirth.

Speaking of curtains...I'm about to sew the bottom together. But, that's not really what I was going to tell you about.

I was all excited because I bought 55" fabric, and one of the widths I needed for one of my windows was 55"! Yay! Only one measurement to cut! Only, I meausured the fabric. It's actually 57". Really, people. Is it too much to ask that 55" fabric *actually* be 55"?

My milkshake sends all the boys screaming out of the yard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's an argument against sex too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I wonder what they make them out of if there's no mom in the picture.

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails. Wait, that's what little boys are made of. Never mind.
