Home schooling? You know, it's not just for scary religious people anymore.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

I don't have them intentionally...the top of my hair is really obnoxious. I'm hoping I'm not finding me and the dog boring and stupid. (Most stylists think I've got a giant forehead that should be a Source of Great Shame, though, and exaggerate the bangs.)ETA: Hec will probably fund my PAC now!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I need a trim already...

God, do I ever.

Ooh, I got a picture today from our staff conference last month. This is my hair then: [link] (I'm the one on the far right.) Definitely time for a trim, and I want to try to make sure the front isn't all one length the way it seems to be there, because it tends to pull it flat.

Still and all, it's rare that I get a picture of me that doesn't make me cringe in horror. This one's not bad.

Up with the sun

Aimée's tag is from one of my favorite songs. Which I'm about to listen to right now.

I love that song, too. It makes me want to get the soundtrack, except I have this whole thing about how I should know the story before I get it, and "Wicked" has been on my list of things I should read for, oh, about five years now.

But the song is pretty and inspiring, in a fairly non-Hallmark way.

I just wish our office had a vending machine at least

Beathen, what kind of sick office do you work in?

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

The kind that is on the bottom floor of 3 stories worth of $250,000+ loft condos on the river, just north of downtown Grand Rapids, and is run by people who figure that a vending machine would detract from the homey feel of the place. Grrr.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I sing it to Emeline.

Who does the Glinda parts, Aimee?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I do both parts, for now. She'll be trained to do Glinda in time.

And now the real reason I wanted a daughter comes out - I needed a Glinda to my Elphaba and a Cosette to my Eponine.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Connie, as far as your mullet fears -- I vote see a really good hair stylist and ask him/her to come up with something. Then get someone cheap to maintain.

Lyra, I never finished the book and still love the music. You should get it.
