Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When I moved to CA, I was annoyed when I learned that it wasn't sold here.

It's not? That's news to me. I'm pretty sure I bought it once. (As you can guess, I'm not a fluffernutter fan.)

However RC treats are definitely made with real marshmallows, at least in this house.

If I only had a brain...

Frosted marshmallow treats? Almost as wrong as frosted brownies.

If you frost it, it is not a brownie, but a cake.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Thanks to you people talking about marshmallows and chocolate, I now have a HUGE craving for s'mores. Made with really good dark chocolate. S'moooooooorrrres.

What is even happening?

I have to go back to the Fluff website to check, but I'm pretty sure they worked *with* Kellogg's to develop the Rice Krispies Treat recipe. They have a no fail fudge recipe, too.

BLECH! No fluff for Rice Krispie Treats!! You miss the buttery taste otherwise.

No. No. No. No. No you don't miss the buttery taste. There's still butter. Sheesh. What do you think this is, California? Oh. Wait.

Durkee-Mower continues to market new uses for Marshmallow Fluff and in 1966 co-promoted a new "Marshmallow Treat" © recipe with the Kellogg's Company ® utilizing their Rice Krispies ® cereal product and Marshmallow Fluff. >[link]

Don't let him slay you. Make the criticisms constructive.

Yeah. That’s what I need to do. And, one of the things I can learn from this is that taking incompletes probably means losing some of the momentum from the class and not doing as well as I could have under perfect circumstances. So, I’ll try not to take incompletes. But, if it’s necessary, it’s necessary…just don’t expect my best work from it. The important thing is that I completed the class, and I still got an A. And I’m doing a little better at focusing on that right now.

I re-read the paper, though, and I still don’t think it’s that bad. Oh, well.

vw, maybe it's just the mindset that brought me to academia in the first place, but I'd rather have a professor I respect tell me that my work was good, but could be better if I had done A, B, or C, than have one just return the paper with the word "Excellent!" scrawled on it. Because the first professor is demonstrating respect for you and your work, and showing you that he cares.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Burrell. And he is exactly that professor. He has made me a better writer because of the time he spent/spends giving feedback on one’s writing. This is the professor that gives sometimes two typed pages of feedback on a paper. He’s amazing. But, usually from him I get both positive feedback and the A, B, or C that could have been better. Today I just heard that it was competent, which is below my standard for myself. It was just disappointing. And the thing is, when HE says that it’s not my best work, I believe it…I respect him that much. And I just want to do better. I kind of feel like I’ve disappointed my favorite professor, if that makes sense.

However RC treats are definitely made with real marshmallows, at least in this house.

Ditto. Definitely need that butter.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Graham crackers and marshmallow fluff is on my comfort food list.

Oh yes. I miss these.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I still don?t think it?s that bad

I didn't read that he said it was that bad. He did say it could have been better.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I always made my RC treats with Fluff. I was always too lazy to melt the marshmallows myself.

Now I have a craving for the Golden Graham S'mores. Mmmmmmmmm... I will have to make do with the Cadbury coated eggs I have.
