Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Do any of you corsetry types know where I could order a corset that's reasonably Regency-appropriate? Because I foresee at least the possibility of dressing up sometime in my future.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

But the important question is, do we get pictures of you in this outfit?

You will indeed. The original photog SUCKED (he brought his 4-year-old son to the shoot. There are not enough ways to say 'inappropriate'), but Z will be re-shooting tomorrow.

Is it my birthday or something?

YES IT IS! YAY!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CINDY!!!!1!

Ooooh, I want this corset, in black

Ooooooh, pretty. Jilli would look pretty in the pretty corset, therefore Jilli should have the pretty corset.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY!

Ooooh, I want this corset, in black.

So do I. Maybe once I recover financially from the move, I can order one from the corset maker in SF (Dark Garden?)

Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

Happy birthday, Cindy!

Oh, nice corset, Jilli.

And blergh. Can my month of "do what you have to do but not what you want to do" end yet? Work's stuffing multiple things into March, my social life is a series of "can't make it, real life intrudes" moments, and even the work stuff's giving me heat due to various computer malfunctions.

What is even happening?

Thanks everyone.

Happy Birthday, Cindy! I can't believe I forgot that this morning!!!

Oh, don't worry about that. I figured I scared everyone from mentioning it, with my morose post in my lj, the other day.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Happy birthday, Cindy!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Birthday Cindy! I throw celebratory sweet foods in your general direction.

Or sparkly boys and painted wings.

How about some androgynous glam rock stars for Jilli and Juliana?

Here's another

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Susan, I don't know anything about reproduction Regency wear, but this looks like a good site: [link]

Ooooooh, pretty. Jilli would look pretty in the pretty corset, therefore Jilli should have the pretty corset.

I like the way you think.

Maybe once I recover financially from the move, I can order one from the corset maker in SF (Dark Garden?)

Lee, Dark Garden (while fabulous) is ... expensive. And I say this as someone with a corset collection. $460 for a corset that costs $245 by Meschantes. Now, is DG's workmanship worth it? I have a corset from them that I bought as part of my wedding dress almost 7 years ago, and it is still in fabulous condition. But I don't know if I'd be willing to pay $460 for it now.
