Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Birthday Cindy! I throw celebratory sweet foods in your general direction.

Or sparkly boys and painted wings.

How about some androgynous glam rock stars for Jilli and Juliana?

Here's another

Susan, I don't know anything about reproduction Regency wear, but this looks like a good site: [link]

Ooooooh, pretty. Jilli would look pretty in the pretty corset, therefore Jilli should have the pretty corset.

I like the way you think.

Maybe once I recover financially from the move, I can order one from the corset maker in SF (Dark Garden?)

Lee, Dark Garden (while fabulous) is ... expensive. And I say this as someone with a corset collection. $460 for a corset that costs $245 by Meschantes. Now, is DG's workmanship worth it? I have a corset from them that I bought as part of my wedding dress almost 7 years ago, and it is still in fabulous condition. But I don't know if I'd be willing to pay $460 for it now.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Birthday, Cindy!

ETA: Pretty Regency dresses! I do love the look, but unfortunately the look isn't that great on me. I think I could rock an Edwardian dress, though.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

How about some androgynous glam rock stars for Jilli and Juliana?

Ah, also pretty. I feel like getting super-glammed up tonight, but since I'll probably just come home from the show, maybe not. Hmmm.

I could not justify $460 for a corset. $245, maybe. $460, no way.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy Birthday, Cindy!!

I love my hairdresser. I emailed him about moving up our appointment because I'm having root issues. Here's what he emailed back:

Attention, Attention please....

Ahem. I will NOT have anyone running aorund with roots so bad they resemble a trailer park refugee. Please know I have rescheduled the summit with the president and Pope in order to accomodate you. I will fly to camp David when we are done, they will simply have to wait...Saturday it is. Can we say 11am?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks for the advice, Jilli. I agree with you and Juliana-- the extra money isn't something I can justify.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How sweet of Juliana to make a bunch of us GAY for Cindy's b-day.

Happy Birthday, Cindy.
