Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just not FG enough.

Not that you're not entitled, but I feel some moping coming on. Shouldn't you be writing me Kay Howard / Terry Quinn porn instead? t /the rare I'm-helping-you-by-being-selfish handwave with a side of porn enabling

Always Anti-fascist!

Aw, man, Breaking it up already? Before poverty, chastity, obedience, and Bible-punching Republicans? Well, it's true, there's only half a thread left...there wouldn't be space. And I guess the mood could be kind of perfect. Who knows better about keeping on through the pain than them? Seeing the humor in pain? All those skills that got all three of our ancestors through from the Old Sod till now.(And a few others.) On my mom's side, we're O'Paces. Because my last name? No help in that department.

t mildly-miffed rantycakes, because I woke up still cranky about something from last night

Last night, Pete & I were supposed to go out to dinner w/ a friend so we could meet her new boyfriend (who lives in Boston, and is in town for a few weeks). Friend especially wants us to meet the new boy, as she wants our opinions; she's had not-so-good luck with picking boys who aren't crazy-making.

I was supposed to call her as soon as I got off the bus, and then we would all meet up at the local sushi place. However, 15 minutes before my bus stop, she calls me.

"Can we re-schedule dinner for tomorrow or next week?"

"Um, sure, I suppose. What's up?"

"Oh, we've been slugs all day. We've been on the couch playing X-box, and we'd still need to take showers and get ready and stuff, so it would be better if we could do dinner another night."

"Fine. It'll probably be some time next week."

Now, I need to know. Am I being unreasonable for being pissed that they couldn't bother to unplug themselves from the video game to get ready in time for a get-together that had been planned for two weeks? Because I'm STILL kinda mad about it.

The status is NOT quo.

  • Annabel is adorable
  • strength to Deb and Chino
  • anti-zombie-fish-ma to Lilty

Is it any consolation to know that you've helped others by sharing your tale? I just noticed that I was on the verge of doing the exact same thing with not one, but two flights. Tricksy flights.

Actually, that does make me feel better. Thank you.

Nah, that's miff-worthy.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

O's short but stout, so we're already in 5's. (But there may be a difference in the brand size). He's always within the weight limit, but his belly is just so roly-poly it's easier on him to move up a size earlier rather than later.

Annabel is just big-boned--the diapers still fit fine in the waist, but she gets side leaks because her bone structure makes her so wide for her height and weight. You can already tell she's going to have broad shoulders, big hands, big feet, etc. She's our kid, all right.

The biggest diapers I've seen are size 6. I hope those either last a long time or there's bigger sizes to be found somewhere, or these kids are going to have to go into Depends before they're old enough to potty train.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Am I being unreasonable for being pissed that they couldn't bother to unplug themselves from the video game to get ready in time for a get-together that had been planned for two weeks?

Nope. I'd be mad.

Jilli, feh. That's all I can muster right now. FEH.

You are not the unreasonable one in this scenario.
