like recognizing that the mom's group was wrong - before it got to the point of you being really upset.
Well, I don't know about
that
particular case. I did kinda storm out in a huff, my last time there.
The ones I'm proud of are of going through all the Thanksgiving and Christmas travel without freaking out at an airport once, even though we occasionally had problems with boarding passes and just generally figuring out how to manage flying with a baby. Also that on the Regency group I just joined, I felt all condescended to by someone telling me stuff I already knew, and was able to pull back and say, "Self, you delurked this week. C doesn't yet know how much research you've done, how intelligent you are, and how much you care about getting things right. She will eventually learn if you keep posting. However, if you fly off the handle, her first impression of you will be of what a bitch you are. So bite your tongue." And it wasn't easy, but I did it.
now that is the right price for a washer.
It is ok to get mad - esp. since you brought it up and were told that it wsn't going to be the way you thought it was going to be ( I think I wrote a circle) . No, I was more thinking about the fact that you didn't dwell. - you found your point and you left. you tried to handle things properly - before they got to the point where controll would not have been an option. It isn't your fault they lied.
Suddenly sleepy. odd.
Hil, I used to throw a Christmas party in my old studio apartment to which 50 or so folks would come. Overflow went out in the hall, so it never got too squeezy, which worked well.
I have always thought of vw as witty and smart; I have never thought of Susan as having a chip on her shoulder.
I went out to see a musician I like and came back to find a phone message from the person I'm going to the Atlanta flower show with tomorrow. She had charged the tickets online and got home to a message saying we had won two more tickets and a night at the Ritz Carlton, which has to be used Friday or Saturday. She lives two hours away and needs to be home; I don't see much point in staying by myself overnight in a hotel 10 miles from my house, particularly this weekend. If I could use it any time, it might be kind of cool. I got the message too late to call her back to get any details and too late to call around to see if anyone wants the flower show tickets. (You around, Bicyclops?)
I like staying in hotels that are close to home just for a night - esp if they are luxery hotels. mini vacation. have a nice dinner in the room with a good movie or a good book.

du jour:
the traffic cop that was directing morning rush-hour traffic today just sort of stopped directing traffic. He waved the main road on, and then got out his cellphone, made a call, and started chatting with someone while standing in the middle of the intersection. After about 3 minutes, people started honking. After another minute, the side street traffic decided to just go. I have no idea how people weren't killed.
Yay Thomash! That's wonderful news!
While I'm glad that Bitches Day worked out well for some lovely Bitches, I'd like to reschedule. Pie and glitter seem to be no match for the snot monster that's decided I'm his new host. Bleargh.
How about this? EVERY day is Bitches Day! That's my new declaration for today. Or...maybe we should have it once a month? Or Tuesdays? Come on guys, I need some help with this.
Mmmmmm...coffee done! Must make myself a cup.
