Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Tom rocks.

Today is also the 60th anniversary of my maternal grandparents' wedding. I'm pretty damn happy for them.

Is this the boss with the weird consumptive strep thing?

Oh, god no. That's Big!Boss, who is still in the hospital in St. Louis, and is likely to be there for at least another month. They can't even do a skin graft until he's stable, and right now his body is still way too traumatized from the infection and from having all the skin on the underside of his arm removed. He's still on a ventilator and is heavily heavily sedated for the pain.

Though it seems like, long-term, he's going to make a full recovery. It's just going to be a long sloooooow road to get there.

Mostly lurking...

I think I'm starting to plan a trip to Chicago for my break between summer session and the start of the fall semester. I'm getting very excited about the prospect. I haven't been back since the December after I moved.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I could easily be wrong, vw. I thought I remembered it was the same as my friends, but it's very possible that I shoudl have remembered it as the day after.

I like my boss, but not enough to bring him cupcakes.

60th anniversary! That's impressive.

Up with the sun

Steph, arrrgh. That sounds really irritating. I've had similar situations, and there's nothing you can do except wait for the boss to come to his senses or else shut up.

I'm a little too over-caffeinated, I think, because I'm still twitching.

What a day to not be taking valium.

What a day to not be taking valium.

It's amazing how many days I feel like saying this.

cereal, because Teppy's around:

I just got this in my company email - there's a campus wide fitness drive, and this is the weekly pep talk email. (I subbed out the name of the school I work for with "uni")

We're thrilled with the getfit@uni participation rate (90 percent) and large percentage meeting the 30-minute-a-day/five-days-a-week exercise goal! Seven weeks ago, we never would have predicted that we'd be well past the two-million-minute mark at this point in the challenge (2.8 million, to be exact). In fact, we recently discovered that uni's fitness fanatics are totally kicking the butt of an entire Midwestern city! Even with a two-week head start, participants in the Spark Cincinnati fitness challenge woke up this morning, no doubt dismayed, to find themselves trailing uni's cumulative total by more than a million minutes!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The only venting that bugs me is when one Buffista spouse bitches about another. It doesn't happen all that often and for all I know it's fine and dandy with the other -- but it makes me decidely uncomfortable.

I think it's like detailed dish about a friend's sex life being cool -- unless they're dating your sister. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Even if it were just fine with my sister... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So you don't want to know if your sister has a meat party in her mouth?
