Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What about some kind of soup, Teppy? I'm not sure if I could find an actual recipe, because I did my usual "read a bunch of recipes and then invent something," but I made soup last week with onions, garlic, chicken, chicken broth, potatoes, kale and broccoli and it was good. You can make almost anything in the chicken soup family without tomatoes and throw in a lot of vegetables.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ooh, you should make caldo verde! Nummy as hell, and so so easy. Lemme see if I can find a good recipe online. (Actually, I think I'm going to make some for myself this week. It's a great cold-weather soup.)

Thrive to spite them

Teppy I have a stovetop grill and I've been grilling carrots on it lately. I cut it into strips and then grill until it starts to brown up a little. I was making a glaze of butter, brownsugar, and cinnamon, but lately I've been eating them plain.

I grill aspsagus the same way and just eat it plain.

Yay, vw! It's good to see that your professors value you as much as we do.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Grr. Why do people have to irk me when there's already another half foot of snow to deal with? First, the ex has started being predictably shifty about my previously all but booked vacation. Now the bitch upstairs called the landlord and said that we weren't parking correctly in the parking lot. (This is the same woman who left a note on my car when it was parked ON THE STREET last summer saying I was in her spot, and I should just ask the landlord.I've still never met her.)

I need yoga. Sorry for rantiness.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I used to hate most veggies, but I've developed a taste for almost all of them over the past 10 years.

Except asparagus. I may yet develop a taste for it, but it takes extraordinary garnishment to get me to eat asparagus. (Hollandaise sauce, for instance, which is not the healthiest of choices.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Mmmm. Hollandaise sauce. DH made me steak Oscar last week. It was soooo good.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Teppy--sugar snap peas. Yummy with no garnish and not acidy.

I understand the veggie hate, I'll only eat raw tomatoes if they are in salsa. Otherwise no dice.

I love all vegetables except rutabagas and English peas. Even peas could probably be salvaged with hollandaise sauce. Rutabagas, nsm.
