I also have a phone interview with a career counselor this morning, and I have to complete a list of "satisfying work experiences." It's saddening to realized that I didn't have all that many at my last job.

Oh, good! I'm so glad to hear that. I mean, not so fun about the exhausted part, but that's understandable with everything you've been doing and dealing with.
I think it's just satirical, but I thought asshat was our word, so I was a little surprised to see it, but not see us, there.
I've actually run into "asshat" in a couple other forums, and the guys in my gaming group use it. Dunno where it comes from originally.
