It's a real burden being right so often.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

I've actually run into "asshat" in a couple other forums, and the guys in my gaming group use it. Dunno where it comes from originally.

vw! Congrats on finishing the paper! Getting ready to read it now.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I thought asshat was originally a TWOP word, so maybe that's the connection.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You can even buy one.

Googling it gets 107,000 hits. I'm thinking it might have preceded TWOP too.

I can't even.

I've actually run into "asshat" in a couple other forums, and the guys in my gaming group use it. Dunno where it comes from originally.

I first encountered it in online games. The usage there is that if you think someone has been behaving like a jerk, once you've killed them, you sit on their corpse's head for awhile to demonstrate your opinion.

No idea what the origin is, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

At a Replacements mailing list I used to subscribe to, the favorite term is "ass neck". I think that was invented there.

Mostly lurking...

One class down, two to go. Today is not a good day. I'm pushing, though, which is good.

I'm starting to get annoyed at my creative writing prof. He keeps giving OUT assignments, but isn't giving anything back graded. He's had like four things for over two weeks now. I guess this is just the way it's gonna be, but it's frustrating to start working on new projects when you have no idea how you did on previous projects.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

tommyrot has a new tag.

Also: aw, vw, you're welcome! I can't wait to read the finished product.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh. I woke up with a massive migraine. Stoopid head.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

{{ Lee }} gentle, non-jostly hugs.

I just got back from PT. A couple of gentle pushes, a pull or two, and I'm exhausted. I have a potential client lunch in an hour, though, so I have to get functional soon.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

vw--I just read your paper and found it fascinating. Great job! I can see how you have more to say on this topic and that your insights will be interesting and worthwhile. I now look forward to the expanded version!
