Angel: Will you just shut up for once?! Illyria: What? Angel: My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?

'Time Bomb'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think nobody's base belongs to anybody anymore. Base wanna be free.

I think I've finished Anne's Cowgirl ReBop mix. I'm listening to it now, and it's good - it could pass as a faux Cowboy Bebop mix. That is if you took all the crime jazz from the v.1 and mixed it in with the vocal tracks from 2 and 3. I even included a vocal from my (ex)minion. Tep can vouch she's got a great voice. I only cheated on one song. (Throwing in a certifiable GREAT RECORDNG. But I don't think Anne knows it, so...)

Erika's Soul Thang 1 seems done. And I've got plenty enough to do Soul thang 2 and 3, which are roughly assembled.

I think I've culled Shrift's Glam mix down. Just a few more cuts and fiddle with the segues and it'll be good to go.

Ahhhh, music. Still need to work on Frankenbuddha's Crime Jazz though.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So, Ple is it sort of like a 40s pageboy a la Bacall?

Nah, not really. It's a little less structured than that. I could probably fake 40s with the cut, but I can just as easily go modern.

Sigh. Rather different night from last night, and yet, it's really my own fault. I have turned down what was offered, and I suspect the universe will retaliate, and never offer again. Or at least, not until I get down on my knees and apologize to the universe and beg. Hmph.

Poor meara!

Timelies all!

I'm awake. I desperately need coffee, though. Thank goodness the coffeemaker is hissing right now. Groceries get delivered today. I've got to make a few small changes to my big paper and do some other schoolwork. Then this afternoon I get to celebrate with the Somervillains. Should be much fun. Margaritas will be consumed.

Yay for margaritas!

I'm overwhelmed with the computerness of my new computer. I can't get it to recognize the network, and it's just been tiring. I plan to conquer it today.

Conquer! Conquer! Bad computer. No cookie till you cooperate with Mama Deena.

Deena, I'm working on the final tweaking of my paper. Will you have time to look at it in say an hour?

Also, I mailed those books yesterday...just in case I didn't tell you. They did go media mail, 'cause it was quite a bit cheaper.

Media mail is absolutely peachy, and while you didn't tell me directly, I did notice that you'd been to the post office.

Also, I would love to look at your paper and whenever you send it is fine.

In tangential news, every time I write a press release or a marketing piece these days, I notice that I have a suspiciously large number of alsos that I have to delete. I blame my baby-duck imprinting nature.

Bwah! We were just talking about this in my psych class on Friday. How funny that you would use it. Worlds collide...

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Hi. I just got back from my date.

The status is NOT quo.

Date, date? Tell more! She says as she runs out the door, late as usual.
