Joyce: And what did you do tonight? Dawn: Irritated Giles. I'm beginning to get why Buffy likes it so much.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I really need to get out and take some pictures -- there are several Japanese magnolias that are in full bloom. I know, this weekend I'll go to one of the public parks/gardens. Haven't been there in AGES but it's so pretty.

And in about a month pollen will be every where, dusting the cars and makign littel yellow pollen puddles after the rain.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

hearting Emily so fucking much right now

Eee!

hearting juliana right back

I love the Buffistas. They get my jokes.

Also, I just derived the quadratic equation. You know, I had never done that before. That's going to be my new occupy-the-brain exercise (e.g., what I do while waiting to fall asleep), now that the proof of irrational numbers has lost its charm.

vw, if you want, we could go over it tonight. If not, I totally understand -- my mother's an English professor and I never ever let her help me with my homework -- but I could use the practice on someone who gives a shit and who will tell me when she doesn't understand. Tutoring high schoolers seems to involve a lot of mind-reading.

I should point out, however, that I still love the proof of irrational numbers, I just know it well enough that it's not a useful exercise anymore. If anyone would like to see the proof, I'd be thrilled to show you!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That reminds me, askye, there's a particularly gorgeous old Japanese magnolia in my neighborhood that has blooms that are more purple than the norm. This year I should remember to get pictures.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It certainly looks like spring here too.

looks out at freshly-fallen snow.
sighs.
remembers that she hates heat more than she hates snow.
smiles.
thinks about the possibility of living on a tropical island.
thinks.
decides that the ocean breeze would make up for the heat.
craves rum.
thinks that island would be made much more bearable by shirtless Sayid.
goes to bunk.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Doesn't the AL really boil down to Boston or New York?

Yeah, in the East. But I don't think they're a lock for the pennant or WS. They've both had radical revamps from last season. Mind, the Yankees are now sporting an All-Star at almost every position, and then they added Randy Johnson.

Absolutely. I was actually kind of hoping you'd help me get through this book so I can take the placement test again.

Hold that enthusiasm till I need to learn it in calculus. That is calculus, right?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It certainly looks like spring here too.

Hmph. We're supposed to get 4 inches of snow tonight.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

To her that's a mark of being a successful parent -- when your kids go off and are happy with the life they've created.

Yes. This.

-t-, seriously, I like his friends and I'll miss having him and them around, but he's excited to be out living his life, and I'm excited for him.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Snowing here now, but it doesn't look like it'll stick. We got about six inches in Milwaukee this weekend though.
