Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Realistically, the M's are building for 2006 and beyond. But now I'm wondering who is going to contend, if we suck and y'all suck. I mean, obviously, that leaves two teams, and I haven't followed their offseason moves that closely, but I wonder if the West will be down in general this year

Angels are picked to win. They've still got the reigning AL MVP. Texas has a potent lineup of young players and no pitching. Typical for them.

I don't think the Wild Card comes out of the west this year. Though I expect the Mariners are better than .500 this year. They did add some pop.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh God. Baseball.

Nick and 5 of his closest friends have decided to move into a house together on the 1st. I'm actually mostly happy about it. He'll be close by, and the basement will no longer have all his stuff in it, so I can turn it into a playroom, and I won't have kids knocking on the windows and doors at midnight and later, or telephone calls at 3 in the morning, or tromping through my house at all hours, making messes and playing video games.

Mostly lurking...

I just realized why I'm not getting anything done today. I have a splitting headache. And, because I didn't notice it as it was coming on, it's now a full-fledged yicky migraine.

So much for being better with the stress.

Coding and Sleeping

Doesn't the AL really boil down to Boston or New York?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Oh God. Baseball.

Yes, I know, P-C, but we do not press this point. We waive it. We rise above it.

And we get petty revenge, like so: what do you know about the "completing the square" method of solving quadratic equations? In what circumstances is it best to use it, and at what point should I have learned it?

Or, if you prefer, we could talk about voltage-gated channels.

vw, you are doing better. You made it through the exam without a stress migraine. Eventually, you won't have them afterwards either. Baby steps!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

But that IS better. Migraines traditonally come after accomplishing a task, so you are having normal migraineur stress-handling, instead of getting the migrine during the problem and thus incapable of going forward. Still sucks, but at least it sucks in a "I finished my incompletes" way.
