My mother is in the process of buying her house (yay for the fiance with disposable income!) and occasionally makes comments about my moving there to be the madwoman in the attic. I know there's a tiny bit of wistfulness there, because she does miss me, but she's mostly joking, as no power in the verse could make her move to the same state as her own mother. Angels are picked to win. They've still got the reigning AL MVP. Texas has a potent lineup of young players and no pitching. Typical for them.

I don't think the Wild Card comes out of the west this year. Though I expect the Mariners are better than .500 this year. They did add some pop.

Nick and 5 of his closest friends have decided to move into a house together on the 1st. I'm actually mostly happy about it. He'll be close by, and the basement will no longer have all his stuff in it, so I can turn it into a playroom, and I won't have kids knocking on the windows and doors at midnight and later, or telephone calls at 3 in the morning, or tromping through my house at all hours, making messes and playing video games.

I just realized why I'm not getting anything done today. I have a splitting headache. And, because I didn't notice it as it was coming on, it's now a full-fledged yicky migraine.
