Now I want a coloring book.
The realtor has been and gone. Paperwork is done, pictures have been taken. House goes on the market Friday, unless the giant snow monster shuts everything down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Just far enough that I don't want to do anymore.
Oh boy, do I ever hear you. I'm exactly there. And I need to unpack a bunch of stuff and not put it away, because it ended up easier to move it than weed it, but I want to weed it before it ends up put away where it WON'T get weeded.
I can actually dedicate a room (two if necessary) to this project, but I'm still not looking forward to it. I was supposed to get this done before I moved this time around, but I never had the space in my old place to have everything out and accessible, and I didn't have the patience to keep unpacking and packing stuff.
Major pieces of furniture we're still missing are a bed (queen-sized box springs wouldn't fit up the stairs, so we're getting a platform bed delivered tomorrow night), a dresser, and a kitchen table (both of which will probably be IKEA purchases, unless we find something at this second-hand place I just found out about in Astoria. We also need a filing cabinet, and more bookshelves.
Did you not have the dresser and kitchen table before, or did they not make it up the stairs?
I hate the unpacking. The fastest and hardest I ever worked in my life might have been unpacking this house. I took the bandaid approach.

Steph, that is SO freaky! Your boss is in my thoughts and prayers. Eek!
I want you all to know that I took my first exam of the semester today. This is important to note because I DID NOT GET A MIGRAINE! The last two semesters, each time I had an exam, I had a migraine. BUT NOT TODAY! I really am learning to handle stress better.
Plus I had a good meeting with my advisor about the big project. I've got some work to do to make it work, but it should work out.
Also, CALLING HEC! I've got news for you. Where the hell are you? Are you working? 'Cause if you are, you should stop that...
Also, I have no idea why there are so many ASSCAPS in this post. Please accept my apologies.
All right, Anne! You deserve a coloring book!
Or, you know, whatever else you might want.
(eta: and WOO-HOO VW WITH THE NO MIGRAINE HAVING)
I loved smooshing it onto the Sunday comics, peeling it back and seeing the pictures backwards.
Curiously I saw a band named Smoosh play live at Amoeba yesterday. They were two sisters, 15 and 13 (I think). The elder played keyboards and sang. The younger drummed - she had a very hip hop/drum loop kind of style. It was very disconcerting seeing how young and talented they were.

Hey! They're a Seattle band, and supposed to be really, REALLY talented. Every interview I've ever read with them has been a delight.

Woot! I'm at work. It's sad. Here use the soopah sekrit work email: dsmay@morganlewis.com.
I need an update!
Update coming.
Gah. I just discovered a huge, previously unknown sore spot of hurt, anger, and defensiveness over something that I would've said didn't really bother me. I don't think I covered very well in the conversation where it came up. Want to go home now so I can rant and get it out of my system before I say something I shouldn't.
