Fuck if I know. The problem with this Kinko's location is that it's in the midst of a bunch of tattoo places, record stores, and food places, so even if classes weren't in, all the punks/disaffected youth/gangs hang out there anyway, and they always seem to snag the good parking.

The sequel is okay, but not as good as the original. It's worth seeing because it continues the story and is still a nice bit o' horror. I don't know how the third one is.

We did a surprise mini-ultrasound at the doctor just now and I got to see my little embryo wiggling around. I'm so excited.

That's so cool. It's really fun to see a baby moving around, but the ultrasound that made me cry was a 7 weeks when all I could see was a little flash on the screen.

Does this mean a TiVo DVR won't work for you, or just that you can't get it through your cable company?

TiVo would work for us, but you have to pay for the box. Since I'm trying to save money, that's not going to work (for now).

Hiveminded pregnancy question - A while back, someone (Plei, I think) posted about a pubic bone separation thing common in pregnancy. I walked about 1.5 hours on Saturday (never a big deal before) but ever since then, I feel a sort of uncomfortableness, patircularly when I walk, that seems so fit the description, but I can't find it in any pf my pregnancy books.

Nonian, the pubic symphysis doesn't usually separate completely, but all the joints of the pelvis loosen considerably during pregnancy--that's probably what you're feeling. How many weeks are you now?

I'm 24 weeks now. The discussion here was the only time I've heard of that particular pregnancy-related issue and I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. Now that I know what it's called, I think I can do a bit more digging for information.

Yeah, by 24 weeks the pelvic joints are definitely getting loose. If your public symphysis had separated completely, you'd be in agony right now, so I really really doubt that's what happened (details of a bad thing whitefonted here in case people don't want to read it: I had a patient once whose symphysis separated completely during delivery, and she stayed admitted into the hospital for more than a week, much of the time on a morphine drip. Thankfully, the total separation of the symphysis is very uncommon).

That said, many women say that the loosening of the joints in general can be uncomfortable. It's totally normal and actually very helpful come delivery time.

Oh, pregnancy! I planned mine, and am glad I have my children, but am done. I adore newborns though, and if any of all y'all get tired of yours, I'll pay the postage.

I feel a sort of uncomfortableness

My doctor also said some of the pain/discomfort I was feeling was a ligament that can get stretched when your belly starts to get bigger -- and this time around it happened early on, so it's not only an eight/nine-month thing. This was specifically off to one side, kind of near my waistline, and it was really noticeable when I tried to turn onto my side in bed sometimes.

That's the best kind of surprise. Ultrasounds can be very cool.

The Sims2 Death Experiment.

I decided to see exactly what would happen if I locked the Sims into a tiny room with nothing -- not even a floor.

First I made a couple -- Mullet Victim and Skank Victim. Once they got into the room I took away the door.

Making them irritate each other was kind of boring so I made them hit on each other. It takes a long time to get to the kissing stage. And even then there's "peck", after "kissing arm" I got up to the romantic kisses. They seemed happy so I had them irritate each other. ARguing is the first option but eventually Nag because one as well.

It took a while before they had to pee and just went. Because it was a dirt floor after awhile weeds grew. Then they tried to sleep (I kept waking them up). Eventually SKank Victim went crazy and the therapist dropped from the sky. She started acting like a chicken and then recovered. Withouth a shower they started to smell and green fumes were around them.

Finally Mullet died. Death appeared, looked at his notes, made a cell phone call and then a light carried Mullet away leaving an urn. So Skank could mourn. She lasted longer than I thought and finally died.

I think next time I'm going to make smaller quarters but add a coffee machine. And then maybe see how long it takes for a single person to die.

The NPCs just went about their business and didn't have any problems.
