Fred: The size and depth of the wound indicate a female vampire. Harmony: Or gay! Fred: Um…it doesn't really work like that.

'Harm's Way'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Hec, thanks for those links. Neat stuff.

Cindy, whatever it is you're writing up, feel free to paraphrase or directly quote me. I'm not worried about citations. I do have a Livejournal but there's no need to link to it in your writing or what have you unless you want to.

My agnosticism is borne mostly of disinterest; my life is overwhelmingly full and complex already--I don't need a definitive answer on the existance of God or the lack thereof, and I just don't care very much either way. I don't think my life would be fuller if there were a God or emptier if there weren't. Many, many more questions are more compelling to me.

Edited to add that I can understand why it's a compelling question to a lot of people, and a compelling belief to those of faith, everyone should believe their own truth, nothingwrongwiththatcakes.

Always Anti-fascist!

I can appreciate that sentiment, Jen.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jen doesn't need God because she's high on life!

Heh. Which I actually think is true, what with her naturalist, zoological and medical fascinations.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

See, I don't know, the idea that this is all there is, that there's no afterlife or higher purpose to it all...that doesn't bother me. I find it kind of satisfying in a way I can't really articulate.

Yeah, for the ethical laws, I was always taught "This is good, therefore G-d said to do it," not "G-d said to do this, therefore it is good."

That's a lovely way of putting it, Hil.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Phew. I was right and Client was wrong about the grant deadline date. His wife/co-director had written 2/21 on the calendar as a heads-up to start thinking about the grant, not as a deadline.

Oh, and DH and I have a babysitter tomorrow, so....

What looks good in movies these days? I'd like to see Bride and Prejudice, but our last two movie selections were All About Me ( National Treasure and Vanity Fair), so I want to at least see if there's something that'd be equally exciting for both of us. Of course, we had identical reactions to the last two movies (NT=goofy and stupid but completely fun! VF=well, that was certainly interesting, but meh), so it's not like going to movies I'm interested in has been so terrible for us, but still.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The basement is now pretty much done. I'm debating whether to start painting trim or take up another project. "Another project" will most likely be cleaning.

Always Anti-fascist!

"Life should come with a money-back guarantee. If at any time you're not satisfied, return unused portion for a full refund." --Detective John Munch

Maybe there's no afterlife to make us Make It Count here.

But if I'm a Buddhist, like Meatballs "It just doesn't matter."

Dude. Just the mix? Nothing to go with that would make it, well, cakey?
