[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'd pay big bucks to make sure I don't die from drug interactions. IJS.

If you ever do find yourself taking multiple drugs, chat up your pharmacist. The ones we go to never object to taking a few minutes to explain things.

Or, we can hit up WebMD for you here. Insert standard, "I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on the Internet" disclaimer.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Speaking of drug interactions...one of the shitty things that happened in Michigan was my grandfather, suffering from some back pain, decided that taking Vioxx (whap) and motrin TOGETHER was a good idea. His kidneys promptly said "Fuck you" and crapped out. In the hospital the 3rd day we were there. However, the blood draws showed that the cancer, which has been inactive (myeloma doesn't go into remission), is active again and he wouldn't have found out until his next blood draw for the oncologist in March.

He's not allowed to take pills on his own anymore.

And here's something strange....I asked my grandma if she threw out the remainder of the Vioxx and she said no. WTF??

There are people who would sign waivers saying, "I know this could kill me but at least I'd have a life worth living for that time" if they could get Vioxx.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

There are people who would sign waivers saying, "I know this could kill me but at least I'd have a life worth living for that time" if they could get Vioxx.

Hard to imagine.

I was prescribed Vioxx for about 3 months when I had carpal tunnel. As far as I can tell it's just fancy aspirin. In fact, when the CT returned a year later I decide to forego the Vioxx and just take Advil instead.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

As far as I can tell it's just fancy aspirin.

It's aspirin that won't upset your stomach but will upset your cardiovascular system.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

DH has a hard time with both ibuprophin and asprin due to .... major , just-built-that-way , acid reflux. he was taking bextra - and it really didn't make him sick. and helped pain. If he take a pain killer, he needs to eat; and some days eating really needs to be watched . and there are days when it is a choice between more stomach pain or pain in stomach and injury. Not fun days.

Mostly lurking...

Morning!

I love Cashmere's hair!

That's all I really remember...I'm still not quite awake. Need coffee.

What is even happening?

I love Cashmere's hair!

I know, vw. I'm so jealous. She's so gorgeous anyhow, that it doesn't really seem fair that she pulls of funky so well. Where's AmyLiz? I need another old square to sit with.

Well, since I've ragged on the Catholic Church and ranted at the Christian Right, it's only fair for me to note Some people live their faith (Liberation Theology Nun killed defending the poor in Brazil).

You're very sweet.

That was some good conversation from JZ and Maria. Jen, I'm glad you asked the question, because it's something I wonder about, too. I started a long response, but think it will work better in LiveJournal than here. I'll link it, if/when I ever finish.

Gronklies, everyone.

brenda, any more news on your dad?

Anne, how's everything coming with readying your house for the market?
