Hmm. I like Mere Christianity, but it's been years since I've read it, so I can't really speak to how well the arguments would hang together for me now, post-major-faith-crisis. Screwtape Letters is my most frequently re-read Lewis, even beating out Narnia. Oh, and some of the essays. I like "The Weight of Glory" and "Learning in War-Time."
'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Screwtape Letters is my most frequently re-read Lewis, even beating out Narnia.
Yup. Screwtape is full of genuine humility, and it always reminds me of my sins.
I feel like vw!
Yay! It's a good day.
Or actually, not really, but I'm just crabby. I need chocolate. And I have none. I may need to remedy that. Maybe some ice cream with chocolate sauce or some hot chocolate....or both...
Approved for what?
Oh just, you know, in general.
Nah, I got a loan to consolidate my credit cards. Not a fantabulous loan or anything, since I don't have anything to secure it with, but I can dance on my credit cards graves all the same.
I can dance on my credit cards graves all the same.
Always good. Sadly, I have at times needed to put prescriptions on my credit cards, so I can't dance on them yet.
Well, I'll have to have one card hidden away in case my car dies or something, but in the event of use (which should be never) it will be paid off every month.
It's silly, really, because it's not like the money I owe has magically flown away. It just feels more workable now.
Ok, Salon.com's commercial for site access today is some sex manual "Sextasy." Um, thanks, but as person with a job I guess I'll be passing on Salon today.
So, someone just passed me a link to search and see if the vanity plate you want is available, and out of curiosity, I looked up my old one. Someone took my Snoogans plate!
Not that I want it back or anything. But it was my first car. Poor, poor Snoogans.
Congrats, Lilty!
(Did you see my post in Natter yesterday re: closing credit card accounts? I don't want you to be penalized for doing what's best for you.)
Oh dear, I didn't. (I was Skipper McSkipperton yesterday.) I did figure that maybe my credit might take a slight hit in some way from all of this, but I don't see myself needing excellent credit for anything big in the immediate future, so it's worth a bit of not-greatness now so it will be better when it counts.
