It just seems a little like, I don't know calling your mom to tell her you miss her, and having her go off, reassuring you about her health.
I understand. Your friend's response totally separated from the circumstance of having an abusive husband and in light of the previous incident where her mom freaked when she couldn't get in touch seems totally normal. A response that I or one of my Constant Communicator type friends would have. But I imagine that what's going on with your friend makes you extra-sensitive to any sort of even vaguely irregular response she has. And you are totally right to trust your instincts and respond as if there is something up with her. Means you're a good friend.
sj, where's your tag from.
It's from one of thessaly's poems, Red.
True. I think I'll just eye squint and eybrow cock it away.
ION: Looking through my family pics up on Yahoo. My uncle was very dashing.
Possible sign of fandom OD:
I just sent an e-mail referring to my suicidal period as EricaNtheGrimReaperforevah!1!
That pairing is so played out.
No wonder CG thinks I'm nuts, yo.
I told my wife that the "Case for Christ" wasn't really convincing me of anything and that I would probably place myself in the Deist category of religious classification. She started me on another book "Mere Christianity", but I didn't find that one especially convincing either.
Yay, Gud...God homework.
Good times.
Hmm. Have you tried Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time?
(Though I suspect that Borg is theologically more liberal than your wife, given that his theological leanings are close to my own.)
"Mere Christianity" pisses me off, and I try to be a Christian.
The so-called trilemma, "Lunatic, Liar, or Lord"? doesn't hold up to logical examination.
I am off to pick up teacup boyfriend at work, and then we are off to an artist lecture of some sort. Have a good night everyone.
