Spike: Taking up smoking, are you? Harmony: I am a villain, Spike. Hello!

Spike/Harm ,'Help'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Deena!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

sj, where's your tag from.

erika, it's that sort of "Well I wasn't worried about it until now !" thing. Good thing I'm easily distracted.

Punishingly Intricate

It just seems a little like, I don't know calling your mom to tell her you miss her, and having her go off, reassuring you about her health.

I understand. Your friend's response totally separated from the circumstance of having an abusive husband and in light of the previous incident where her mom freaked when she couldn't get in touch seems totally normal. A response that I or one of my Constant Communicator type friends would have. But I imagine that what's going on with your friend makes you extra-sensitive to any sort of even vaguely irregular response she has. And you are totally right to trust your instincts and respond as if there is something up with her. Means you're a good friend.

Always Anti-fascist!

Possible sign of fandom OD: I just sent an e-mail referring to my suicidal period as EricaNtheGrimReaperforevah!1! That pairing is so played out. No wonder CG thinks I'm nuts, yo.

Coding and Sleeping

I told my wife that the "Case for Christ" wasn't really convincing me of anything and that I would probably place myself in the Deist category of religious classification. She started me on another book "Mere Christianity", but I didn't find that one especially convincing either.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hmm. Have you tried Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time?

(Though I suspect that Borg is theologically more liberal than your wife, given that his theological leanings are close to my own.)

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I'm approved!

Does happy dance.
