I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Prof never showed up for my first class. And that's the class I did all that damn work for. Go figure.

Coding and Sleeping

Prof never showed up for my first class.

That never once happened to me in college.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Me neither.

Well, the work is still done, regardless. There will be anotehr class when you can turn it all in, presumably.

We gave it all to the TA. I assume he'll pass it along. It just means it probably won't be looked at before the next class...which is fine...it's just, I want that feedback NOW! I worked hard on that stuff. I'm an impatient perfectionist.

move out and draw fire

I think Captain Jack should've actually been named Captain Barbarossa, or one of the other patently undead pirates.

P-C, that letter so rocks! Validation is sweet.

I'm just doing a drive-by before we head out to dinner. I was going to make macaroni and cheese carbonara and apricot bread pudding, but the DH has had a week from hell and just wanted to go have someone bring him food. So I'm off the hook for dinner tonight.

Cindy, how's the nose? I've had mine broken a couple times and I know it's not pleasant...but I've never had anyone to blame it on but myself, so haven't had to deal with kid-directed pain-related anger.

And in answer to your query, due date for FNU is March 28. Both his father and I have March birthdays, so in a way I'm hoping he'll be late and born in April, but just not April 1. In any case, we are in the last 6 weeks, and he no longer has the space to get a lot of momentum with the rib kicks, which is good. But he's doing the spooky alien chest-burster thing, where we can watch him move, which is weird. I keep expecting the words "help me" to appear on my abdomen.

I need to round up some psychic clue-sticking and direct it towards a friend - she's a single mother of an infant, and was working at the embassy in Tbilisi until a couple days ago, when someone threw a grenade over the wall of her house. It blew up her car and knocked out power and stuff. The gov't has pulled her out of Tbilisi for a bit, but I think she really needs to go someplace safer for her baby girl. I've known her for years, though, and I'm afraid she'll stay in this job, which is good for her career, although it puts her and the baby at risk.

Of course, my career these days consists of buying baby stuff, cooking, and doing about one day of html contract work every month, so I'm obviously biased.

The paper is coming together! I'm on page three of six. Yay!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Timelies!

I woke up to the sound of Jack knocking his marbles around the bowl. Having an immortal fish is both unsettling and largely practical, really. I ought to figure out his secret and market it to the fish masses.

Punishingly Intricate

Can I combine the yogurt and tasty drugs?

Yes! Also can be used for a refreshing facial mask.

Go VW on the paper!!! You did so much yesterday! I love the idea of writing down what you've done in a day rather than (or in addition to) writing a list of what you need to do. I advocate for doing this all the time but never actually do it myself. I think it can be both encouraging (like with vw's list yesteday) and enlightening (oh I had so much sugar in the morning no wonder I was so cranky in the afternoon...[i fear that's going to happen to me today--chocolate chip muffin and pomegranate juice for breakfast.])

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Timelies.

Go vw!

Thanks for the earrworm, Cindy. I love Victor. I've got him on CD. I love the Dan Zanes song, too.

Put your hands in the air
cock-a-doodle-doodle-do

Love the fun stuff. We don't get noggin anymore, though. Not since Kara broke the DVR. We're going to have to call a repair person to get it back. Aidan's missing Maisy and the income tax refund is coming, so it'll probably be soon.
