As far as I can tell, you and Hil are the same about academia--you both are always convinced you are going to do much much worse on things like papers and exams and getting work done then you ever actually do. Both of you are pretty much academic stars, if one looks at your work objectively, and I am sure your profs love having you in class.

Just SO much to do. I'd feel a little better if these incompletes were done, but the one I'm working on is just taking me so much longer than I had anticipated, and it's got me frustrated. I need to let it go, but I also need to just get it done. I ran into the prof today, and I promised her I'd e-mail it by Wednesday.
But, I also have a critical response and a series of four rhymed haikus due on Wednesday...plus about 200 pages to read of The Dollmaker.
Plus, I'm already obsessing about the last incomplete I need to finish. Really, the scope of the project is WAY bigger than what it should be, and I get overwhelmed even thinking about trying to bring it down. This needs to just wait till I get to it, but when I start getting overwhelmed, it's hard to put things in boxes and set them aside. I just stack 'em all up to make it worse. At least I know this.
Both of you are pretty much academic stars, if one looks at your work objectively, and I am sure your profs love having you in class.
