You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know if I can watch this. Seriously.

Watch what?

What is even happening?

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I should either go to Quizno's or make a grilled cheese sandwich.

I haven't had a grilled cheese sandwich in forever. That sounds kinda good (and bad).

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Starting Over. There's a woman with a part of my life there that is just... weird.

Former competitive gymnast (though she was at a much higher level than I) who left gymnastics and has this whole perfection thing going. Unwilling to try new things.

The whole shebang.

She talks about the gym and I get it -- missing the smell, the chalk dust all of that.

Field day in Boston on the company dime.

Eh, it's only across town. About fifteen minutes on the intercampus shuttle bus.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm feeling more pirate-y. Yarrrr, matey.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Maybe they just really like riding the bus?
