We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Understandable, really.

One day when I'm fantabulously wealthy, I'll buy them for you, okay?

Now let's get the universe started on making me fantabulously wealthy, please. I mean, Aimee deserves her Betty Crocker-ware, universe, you know?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Now I want lemon cake and a new apartment.

For now, though, I'm gonna have to settle for some sleep.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Aaargh. You would be talking about cake first thing in my morning. And it would take me hours to bake one....

In other news, timelies! It's about 24F and we're expected to get another inch of snow during the day.

On the plus side, everything outside -- branches, chainlink fences, window frames, everything that a snowflake could possibly land on -- has white frosting on it.

Hmmmm... I could make me some cinnamon-rolls-from-a-can.... This may be a plan.

What is even happening?

"It's a case of the rich eating the poor," said Matthew Dery, who lives in one of four houses on a compound his family has owned since 1901. "Sometimes the poor are difficult to digest."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am dying to know how the lemon pound cake turned out.

I learned how Dutch process cocoa is diifferent from regular cocoa. Added alkali, so that the acid in the cocoa won't interact in unexpected ways with baking soda in the baked good. You use regular cocoa in devil's food cake and it is "Dutched" in the baking. Unfortunately, I did not learn how to turn regular cocoa into Dutch process.
