"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The down side would, of course, be all the rain, though.

And you know, Wendy's is bad for you.

But Alibelle, I get paid from USC/UCLA for work done in the same period. It's not like one semester I'm at one and one I'm at the other. Also, that I get paid through the district and through a private foundation.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat, you mean because of which schools they are, or just because it's different ones? Because one of my professors is teaching a class at my private school and at a city school this semester. As well as working for a private firm.

Because of which schools they are. It's just funny to me.

So, I told the director at UCLA that I do work with that I'm flirting with the idea of going half time next year and her eyes lit up. I think if I do, she's going to want me to work for her half time.

Which might not be bad.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

And you know, Wendy's is bad for you.

Worse than not eating? Because I'm feeling seriously lazy.

But Alibelle, I get paid from USC/UCLA for work done in the same period. It's not like one semester I'm at one and one I'm at the other.

No, I know. Seriously, some teachers teach here Mondays and Wednesdays, and Tuesdays and Thursdays that are at UCLA, and Fridays they're at St. Mary's, or something.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Let me know if you want my broker's number -- he got me this place, but he works out of the Union Square office of Benjamin James.

OK, cool. My lease isn't up for months but I will try to remember that.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Not sleeping.

Incidentaly, Jim Buckmaster of craiglist fame, has no use for local sites.

He is rich. You are not. Do the math

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

so - if you aren't sleeping you should be entertaining, Mr. Gus.

I should not drink wine and watcy DIY. I get inapprpriate urges to use power tools - which would be dangerous.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm over the rain. It's official. The fact that LA has gotten twice as much rain as Seattle this season so far proves that there is Something Very Wrong going on here.

Totally. Though it has to be said, we're well below normal, so it's not like you're getting double a typical Seattle winter. It's been sunny for nearly 10 days straight now, which isn't supposed to happen till, like, July. And before that we'd have a day or two of rain followed by 5-6 days of sun. From what I heard somewhere on NPR, it sounds like the weather pattern that normally gives us our rain is parked way too far south this year.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Gus is probably reading up on fullerenes, in preparation for tomorrow's banter.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Gus--born in Milwaukee, dude. I am a product of the middle of the country and proud of it. Of course I left when I was 9, so....
