so - if you aren't sleeping you should be entertaining, Mr. Gus.
I should not drink wine and watcy DIY. I get inapprpriate urges to use power tools - which would be dangerous.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I'm over the rain. It's official. The fact that LA has gotten twice as much rain as Seattle this season so far proves that there is Something Very Wrong going on here.
Totally. Though it has to be said, we're well below normal, so it's not like you're getting double a typical Seattle winter. It's been sunny for nearly 10 days straight now, which isn't supposed to happen till, like, July. And before that we'd have a day or two of rain followed by 5-6 days of sun. From what I heard somewhere on NPR, it sounds like the weather pattern that normally gives us our rain is parked way too far south this year.
Gus is probably reading up on fullerenes, in preparation for tomorrow's banter.
Gus--born in Milwaukee, dude. I am a product of the middle of the country and proud of it. Of course I left when I was 9, so....

Dang!
I wish I knew the rules.
Always wait three days before calling a gentleman back...

Today it is
I have skipped about 300 messages but I have to say something more about my beloved Paris Hilton. A lot of you have said things like "she hasn't done anything to deserve her fame," as though fame is something that should be granted only to people who have done something "worthy," but that's not how fame works. Someone is famous if people pay attention to her and want to hear more about her. It's not her "fault" she's famous; it turns out that despite the fact that she isn't an actress or a singer or a writer or whatever, people enjoy paying attention to her. She's the object of people's attention, therefore she's famous. It's not like fame comes first, then people have to pay attentionl, you know?
To believe that fame is something to be given (by whom?) only to the "deserving" is to doom yourself to a lifetime of frustration, not to mention anger at people like Paris, who seems harmless to me.
End of rant.
I have made the CI cupcakes. Now I wait for one half hour before I frost them with the buttercream frosting and taste them.
Anyone know if Arrested Development was on last night? If it was, our reception locked up, and we failed to tape it, so I'll need to go to When Come Back, Bring Tape.
I would really like a cupcake now.
Maybe I'll make muffins for dinner.
