Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat's 2nd one said it was "cute." I think that means too small, in the absence of any other information.

There's a hilarious Race-o-rama thing on VH-1 at 9.

My homework is more or less done.

I like the look of this place, and it's cheap, but it doesn't fit all your requirements. Mostly the lack of fridge, location in Silver Lake, and it does not mention cable one way or the other: [link]

This one sounds interesting: [link]

This one is also nice, and it's in an awesome location (my aunt lives a few buildings down). It's within about five minutes of walking from Starbucks, Whole Foods, CPK, ice cream, nifty stuff, etc.: [link]

Cheap, but move-in in June: [link]

Interesting: [link]

This is very pretty: [link]

Sounds promising: [link]

I am really and truly sorry to spam two threads, but I'm a little desperate for advice here...

Hivemind question:

Dramamine. I have a weird body chemistry when it comes to many meds, and my one experience with this one was that it put me into a coma. Is there a non-drowsy version that actually works?

Side note for those with pharmacology background: I had a really REALLY bad reaction to an anti-nausea drug in the Phenergan family. Is Dramamine the same type of med?

I'm sorry, I have no idea, Kristin. Good luck!

That house allibelle linked for you almost makes me want to move west and take up residence, what with the clawfoot tub and all. Though the rent being half again my net monthly salary might be a slight hitch.

Okay, if we all chip in, we can call it Buffista Craftsman, and live happily ever after.

Horses are OK here.

Gus, you're so needy.

ita, do you need me to look for more places? Because I'm having fun. Also, I have no idea if any of those work for you. I tend to trust the ads with pictures, more, myself. And all the ads I found advertising cable and wireless internet stuff were in crap locations that also found it necessary to mention that the area was "safe for women!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The move-in in June looks perfect, naturally, except for the June thing. I had a couple of those on my list, but thanks for the rest! I love students avoiding work.

Sweet Jesus. Also, funny. The cable thing is mostly my bitterness. Not something that can be cleared up without actually signing a lease.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Non-pharmacological suggestion: I've known those acupressure wristbands to work for a lot of people with motion sickness.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We're in the looking-at-housing phase, too. Although in our case that means, shake your head grumpily at rentals that cost less than a third of what you guys are looking at. And it also means looking at land, 'cause build is good.

But what I need to know is, how big is an acre? You can tell me the numbers, and that will be good, but like, in my head, when I picture it, how big is it?

Trust my rage

Liese - did you get my mom's answers? I assume yes, but it never hurts to be sure.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Liese, here's some acre info. I had no idea it was so large.
