Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, that's a hell of a house. When I grow up, I want a Craftsman house (I was drooling untoward during the last ep of Numb3rs).

I saw my second apartment. Costs more than I'm paying now, less than the other apartment. It's bigger than mine, which is yay, and brighter, which is scary. It has a huge balcony. Yay. It's done in cool colours, not heavy oppressive ones. Ick. It's nearby, but in Brentwood, which is a bit twee.

Hmm.

I have told myself that if I get an apartment near the price of my current one, then ... well, no, if I don't get an apartment near the price of my current one, I definitely can't join the nice gym. There's a terrible gym gap here. It's either ultra-swank, or no nice things at all, or the Y. Maybe the Y. But the Y could stand to open earlier.

WHY CAN'T MY PLACE JUST FIX THE DAMNED CABLE???1?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know. Maybe Jesse and I should move in instead.

Man. If it wasn't for the whole being-in-LA thing....

Aw. Pobrecita.

Don't you mean your lack of same?

I'm sorry, ita. That does suck.

Also? Why am I still looking at apartment listings? It will be at least a year, maybe two, before this is necessary. And yet I just found one that would be awesome to share with two people, which was something I was considering, since I really wanted to live with my favorite ex-roommate (and her sister) again. It's a cute three bedroom apartment in Silver Lake, for $1700. I need to quit looking now, I think. And maybe do some work. But that sounds a lot less satisfying.

Right. Another reason to get a serious boyfriend. Rent-splitting. I think joint gym memberships are a draw too.

Lee, I know exactly where the Hamilton/Middlefield place is. I can picture it in my brain.

ita, The toy factory = cute! did you go to Lush today? Cause I need to pick some stuff up.

AM tired and hungry and a little nerve-jangly. For the next two weeks, I'm going to try to harness all the positive energy of the universe, or, you know, my house and focus it on Everything Working Out.

Okay, so I'm still unneccessarily looking at listings, and this is the most entertaining one I've read all day: [link]

This made me laugh:

Imagine if Old Town Pasadena got thrown out of a moving car, brushed itself off and decided to walk, that's us. Think of it as having character, because that makes it easier for me to sell it on you.

That's a pretty cute apartment. Can you do me a favour, Ali? I need a one bedroom apartment 800sq ft (I think) or larger, dishwasher, fridge (microwave would be nice), gas range, bathroom must have decent storage and bath not just shower. In fact, storage is important throughout.

A crossbreeze is important, light is not. GOOD CABLE RECEPTION MANDATORY.

Ta, ever so.

Kat -- I totally forgot. This weekend, I guess. Wanna come?

Okay, lemon pound cake in oven. I have for more Meyer lemons to use. Perhaps lemon squares.

I think so, ita, yes. Since I'm on a no more SOAP rule, I need to pick up some exfoliatey bars. Saturday afternoon maybe.

Also, could you please make Lori hurry up.

Also, apartment? [link]

Also, one in Brentwood: [link]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want to go to Lush. I have a coupon, too.
