Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I would like to not be in jail.

Makes sense.

Me, I just looked at one apartment and I hate the hunting already. I hope my building managers agree to fix the cabling.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

... with random phone chat with some Australians who mistook me for a British guy in Chicago.

... decided that S0000071519 was the number immediately before S0000715202, and labeled several hundred pages accordingly, and I would like to not be in jail.

OK, sometimes a more dull life has its rewards.

The evil is this way?

I am going home. This is not because I am done with my work, but rather it is because the person preparing the documents I needed to review and send out today decided that S0000071519 was the number immediately before S0000715202, and labeled several hundred pages accordingly, and I would like to not be in jail.

Once again, Math is Evil.

I commend your restraint about the preparer. Not sure I could hold back.

What is even happening?

That Pirates of the Caribbean T-shirt ita linked, has information about the shirt, off to the right side of the photo. I must have been reading it out of the corner of my eye, without realizing, because it took a moment to process this fragment:

Orlando Bloom as Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean. Allow up to 5% shrinkage after washing

Narrator! You're still alive. Whup still evil?

The evil is this way?

Narrator! You're still alive.

That's a matter of opinion. But thanks.

Whup still evil?

Oye.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And ... I just spoke to the maintenance manager. I don't care if he's mad at Adelphia. He needs to not yell at me. It's official. He refuses to speak to Adelphia about what it'd take to fix the signal. So either I suck up lousy reception and kinda glitchy internet, or I ... t shudder ... move.

That 'bout sums it up, yup.

The Ineluctable Modality Of The Risible

Ha! One Friday afternoon when I was in college one of my friends locked himself in his apartment with a copy of Ulysses and a stack of carefully rolled joints, declaring that he would read the entire (gigantic) book in one sitting.

When we checked on him on Sunday we found him sitting on the kitchen floor surrounded by wrappers of snack foods, repeating "Ineluctable modality of the visible" over and over.

For years after that we used "Ineluctable" as a slang term for "wasted."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Har, Rick!

That sucks, ita. Can you deal with Adelphia directly at all? (I realize the answer is probably no. A friend of mine can't get cable because Time Warner would need to get into/through a building on the corner for whatever, and the owner of that building refuses to let them in.)
