Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Har, Rick!

That sucks, ita. Can you deal with Adelphia directly at all? (I realize the answer is probably no. A friend of mine can't get cable because Time Warner would need to get into/through a building on the corner for whatever, and the owner of that building refuses to let them in.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I called Adelphia, and they said "have the owners call us." The maintenance guy refuses to call them, says he's doing them a favour by even letting them run cable in.

Sure, dude. Try renting your apartments with no cable TV. Adelphia is just using you, aren't they?

I'm very irritated. And the one place I looked at today was too small for my stuff, while costing $500 more. Just down the street. Not how you want to start looking, you know?

Yeah, that sucks.

Not how you want to start looking, you know?

Of course, now you're softened up for the place that's almost big enough and only $250 more.

No, now I'm dead. You have killed me. Happy now?

I'm poking through Craigslist. I'm startled that the same company that showed me the tiny overpriced high rise has listings there. It's much more useful than rent.com, and freer than westsiderentals.com. Cross your fingers for me.

I'm looking at LA craigslist, too! I love how I can tell what's a bad neighborhood, just from the price differential. I vote for that big loft in the candy factory.

Do you mean toy factory? It has CABANAS. Maybe there could be boys.

Sadly, too far from both the day and the side job. I might pay the extra for the possibility of cabana boys.

Toys, candy, it's all the same to me.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

t offers rental in Wisconsin

Surely the reduction in rate will make up for the Gulfstream and limo fees to get to get to work.

Right?

...

Right?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I commend your restraint about the preparer. Not sure I could hold back.

She wasn't there anymore. Killing the other person in the copy center wouldn't have been (quite) as much fun.

That sucks about the apartment hunting ita.

I need to start thinking about such things, don't i?

So where do people who don't want to pay Palo Alto prices but still want to be within an hour of Menlo Park live?

But it won't offset the distance from krav.

Well, I have one listing that looked perfect that's gone, and one to view in under an hour. Craigslist is addictive.

Craigslist, yo.
