All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

No, too much stuff not done yet for Sunday.

Aimee... bien, y tu? (We have reached the limit of my high school Spanish. I only know a couple of other phrases, one of them being, "No hablo Espanol").

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Hi.

So, the reason we had tons of security tonight-- bag search and wanding-- was because we saw "Be Cool," and the studio is very concerned about piracy. However, it was awesome, and hilarious. And a movie I probably never would have chosen to go see, so that was great. Surprising comedic genius? The Rock. He stole the show. In a movie filled with people trying to steal every scene from each other.

What is even happening?

beth, I know it. I wish I'd never found it. I bow to Princess Alibelle for getting to level 8.

I have to send it to my mother. We'll see if her house keeps being cleaner than mine. HA!

(Actually, since she lives alone, rather than with a pack of Hansel and Gretels, who think they need to leave trails wherever they go, so they don't lose the way--her house will still be cleaner than mine).

Cool top-secret class, Alibelle. I'm glad you liked it. I was hoping it would be Walken or someone who'd send you into fits of giggles, though.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw Alan Cumming on the Daily Show courtesy of TiVo last night. Where exactly is he from -- that sure isn't the standard Scottish accent I'm used to, it sounded almost Norse in the vowels in places. I would happily volunteer to listen to him read the phonebook or the municiple minutes or instructions on using my toaster oven. Just lovely.

Timelies!

Today is the start of Boskone, which is one of the poles of my fannish year (the other being Readercon). Much to look forward to....

Oh.. and not only is it snowing, but the sun is shining rather brightly. I wish things would make up their mind!

Boskoneboskoneboskone. Except that I have to sit through an all-departmental meeting held by power-mad pointy-haired bosses that would make Dilbert blanch. But I will be strong.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap, I totally have to see Be Cool.

It turns out I have no idea how long it takes me to get ready any more, so I have all this extra time now. Weird.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have great love for The Rock, but my hate for Travolta is so large that I fear Be Cool is beyond my capabilities.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I loved Get Shorty so I can't wait to see Be Cool. And The Rock is generally funny as hell - much better actor than you'd expect.

I have this problem, only the other way. I get in my car, and look at the clock and think, how the HELL did it get to be 8:45?

So on the OC Lindsey's house is Buffy's? I didn't know that.

So I woke up to a city in utter panic. City schools closed or delayed, traffic is a mess, blahblah. Why? Less than an inch of snow. Unexpected, but my good lord.
