"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Does anyone know if iPods will recover from being submerged?

DONT TRY TO TURN IT ON. Leave it alone for 24 hours, then try to turn it on. Most of the time, it's the electricity traveling through the wet circuitry that fries machinery.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Raging fucking blinglust is just entertaining to contemplate.

Rio's dress sounds bosom-orific.

If you google submerged ipod, the third link has good advice.

Swouncing

Nora, I love it that you planned for a day to recover from vacation.

You'd have to chase Tom an I off that illustration page.

No, it would be lovely to meet you guys. Instead of crossing an ocean, this time, I'll have to become a definition in the dictionary.

Ms. Rio Hernandez-Saget

Definitely.

[Edit:

I am getting the house ready for sale

So you're definitely moving? House-selling~ma to you, with some calmness vibes]

I keep being bummed you are moving, Anne, and then I realize I don't live near you anymore anyway.

The iPod didn't survive the float test? Alas, I have no info on whether they are at all watertight. Let the connectors drain at least. What happened?

I'm guessing we use RSVP because if left to our own devices, invites would say something like, "Dude, just freaking call if you can't make it." Although that might actually work better.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I thought I would have the blinglust, then... not so much. It just seemed so unimportant compared to getting to spend the rest of my life with TomW.

Awww....schmoop! This is a good way to start the day.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Nora, I love it that you planned for a day to recover from vacation.

I'm doing this for my trip to Chicago in May, on the advice of smart, more vacationed friends than myself.

Are you ready to be strong?

How long was it submerged for? Was it naked? Poor little iPod.

How did you get to meet him at all?

Through Saget.

You do know that her brother (Aviv) is a very famous Israeli singer and song-writer, right?

She told me that--I think she said "my brother is a rockstar." It's funny to think there are parallel universes of extreme fame.

And their father, Yehonatan (Hebrew for Jonathan) writes too

And he's famous for being some kind of outspoken liberal, right?

I like her very much. Also Etgar. They are the sweetest couple. They do a lot of work together (theater stuff), which I'd think would be hard, but they say it's nothing but fun.

Joining the chorus of awe for Rio's dress and ring! I love wedding planning! As long as the wedding isn't mine. But I love seeing what people pick out, and I love the excuse to look through wedding dresses and rings and such.
