Joining the chorus of awe for Rio's dress and ring! I love wedding planning! As long as the wedding isn't mine. But I love seeing what people pick out, and I love the excuse to look through wedding dresses and rings and such.

I've always thought he looked like Alexis Denisof, but last night his resemblence to scruffy!Wes was downright frightening.
Rio, I will only add to amych's description of comfort fit to say that it is the bomb.
Prior to buying a comfort fit ring, all rings came off as soon as I got home so that my hands could be free. But with the comfort fit, even after the sleep-swelling, it feels good. LOVE.
Okay, so I am working on writing reviews of books I read almost 10 months ago. I have not reread them and they are due to my editor by COB today. Oops.
Stephen Colbert
I loved the bobble-head doll report from Iraq.
I think she said "my brother is a rockstar."
He totally is. With screaming fainting girls in his concerts, heavy makeup and trying to kick in the gut of the establishment. The whole story. And on top of that, he is an extremely talented song-writer.
It's funny to think there are parallel universes of extreme fame.
I like the way you described this.
And he's famous for being some kind of outspoken liberal, right?
Yes, very much so. He comes from a very military-oriented family (Moshe Dayan, if the name rings any bells, his uncle IIRC, used to be the head of the Israeli army and the minister of defence), which makes his political opinions stand out even more. He is very liberal in his opinions, very critical regarding the current situation in Israel, and never hesitates to say exactly what's on his mind. He's famous and loved enough for his other creative writing that he can get away with saying pretty much everything, and it's important enough for him to actually go out and say it. He actually lived in the USA for a few years IIRC, and has a daughter there (much younger than Shira and Aviv, though). And here is his picture and his latest column in an Israeli newspaper (in Hebrew, of course).
I like her very much. Also Etgar. They are the sweetest couple.
That's good to read. I always like finding out that people whose work I like are also nice in "real life".
They do a lot of work together (theater stuff), which I'd think would be hard, but they say it's nothing but fun.
I knew that she was heavily into theater, didn't know that he did it too, let alone with her. How lovely that it's fun for them.
I keep thinking about "six degrees of separation" and how amusing it is that the shortest way from me to an Israeli writer (in such a small everybody-knows-everybody place like Israel) is through an American girl on an internet forum, whose real name I don't even know. The world, it is a strange and interesting place.
[Edit: as are numbers, consecutive digits all confused in my post #]
I'm so confused about which Jacks Kat and ita are discussing. Both Jack McCallister and Jack Bauer were great this week.

I don't so much see a resemblance to Alexis, but by growing the whiskers he has developed a scary likeness to the guy I was dating back in the fall. It's kind of weird to see, actually.
Jack Macallister, sumi. I don't watch 24.
Ooh, I'll have to remember to check out the TDS rerun tonight.
I'm doing this for my trip to Chicago in May, on the advice of smart, more vacationed friends than myself.
Excuse me? Is this the first we've heard of this?
Hi, just popping in to say thanks for the good wishes Nilly, Fred Pete and Gudanov. That was very nice of you.
