I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For whatever reason, I'm totally wanting lunch with Anderson Cooper. My mom bid on Sam Waterston.

but they (totally awkwardly, I swear) cut one line, but I never remember which one.

"They" freaking ALWAYS do that.

The Many Moods of Mischa Barton.

Ah yes, a graduate from the Andrew McCarthy school of acting.

Evening everybody, it's not very dry here is it anywhere else?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The thing is, if you leave the job market for 5 or 10 years, no matter what you are doing, you almost never hit the career salary high you would have had. In many cases, your skills are outdated or people are suspicious of the gap in employment and you end up with a lower salary than you had when you left.

And this is something that occasionally frightens me--what if I don't make enough of a mark at freelancing, and/or never sell a novel, and have to go back to the land of university administration as I'm approaching middle age, only with several years lost, and I never can get back to something that's even tolerable WRT salary, responsibility, and prestige.

OTOH, if I didn't at least try what I'm doing now, I know I'd regret it on my deathbed. So here I am.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Bride and Prejudice? Cute. Not life shattering. There was a weird mix of either too much or too little dancing. And some useless characters. And people who weirdly resemble other people.

but it made me laugh.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me too. It also confirmed that while Sayid is mine, Naveen is still up for grabs.

Hi Thomash! It's actually really nasty out, here. The drive home was not pleasant.
