You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

My cynicism is such now that I think what should have been a deep reaching scandal on the order of Watergate, will evaporate in a whirl of spin.

IMHO we've already had several scandals bigger than Watergate....

My cynicism is such that if that gets any traction at all it will be because the guy was involved with gay porn. While I don't mind hypocrisy getting called, I suspect it will be the "gay" and the "porn" and not the hypocrisy that gets play.

Plus, trapsing through the homes of complete strangers? FUN!!!

When we moved when I was 16, it was into a development still under construction. So lots of houses without locked doors that me & mom would walk through just prior to completion. It was cool, and we'd compare them to ours and discuss how we would furnish them and whatnot. Then the open houses. I think we saw the inside of every house built between 1991 and when I left for college. Mom has seen the rest.

I do feel weird walking into other people's houses. Like I should apologize or something. Projecting my oversized bubble, I think. I need to get over it.

ALIAS: wouldn't a Romanian say Praha or some variant, not Prague? Or PROG, as he did.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Uh huh.

Looking at places to live with no pressure is fun -- I went to look at an apartment with a friend recently, and she was all grateful, but I really did enjoy it. Aside from the broker. (NYC apartment broker -- a breed apart.)

OMG Wife Swap: Conservative (interracial) couple and liberal (white) lesbian couple. I may have to watch this.

I love Dixon.

Also, after all the shit over a cartoon asthmatic bunny and a barely noted lesbian family, what's on Wife Swap, according to commercials? A wife swap involving a lesbian pair. Maybe Spelling can have a fit over that too!

But I'll bet the rating will be too high....

xpost: Jesse, I know. But I am afraid of cringing too much at hurtful shit. This show is a train wreck to begin with.
