bon! Tell me how to find a real estate agent! I'm having a hard time getting started. I know too many renters or buyers in weird ways. I need a method.

Still not loving the many-faces-of opening.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Don't ask me, sarameg! I only just got some seed money!

Plus real estate in NY is like crazy people real estate, not regular people.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

All I did was look for open houses on the web. I went to a few, found one I liked, and made an offer.

Huh. I troll the open houses list in the paper, but most are waaaay out of my league. Will have to check the web. I think I want someone to hold my hand even if they are in it for themself. I freak out over paperwork (reminds me: taxes this weekend and move more $$ to savings.)

Also there is the appalling fact that B'more average price has increased something like 25% in the past year (maybe 2, I don't quite recall.) Stuff moves here. Probably not like NYC, from what I've heard, but... I function well under duress. However I hate anticipating duress.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My cynicism is such now that I think what should have been a deep reaching scandal on the order of Watergate, will evaporate in a whirl of spin.

IMHO we've already had several scandals bigger than Watergate....

OMG! Expose on ABC local news! Wilty roses!

There is a reason I skip local news.....

Is that how it works? I was thinking I'd just walk around 'til I saw a house I liked, ring the doorbell, and tell the owner, "I really like your house. Can I have it?"

You should probably go to a couple of open houses, even if you know you can't afford it, just to establish what you are and aren't willing to settle for.

Plus, trapsing through the homes of complete strangers? FUN!!!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I was thinking I'd just walk around 'til I saw a house I liked, ring the doorbell, and tell the owner, "I really like your house. Can I have it?"

Nah, you just wait until they move to Switzerland. Less icky human interaction that way.
