I've been evil today and went to visit my friend and her baby. I was there all morning, ran back here, and will probably be here until the middle of the night to at least try to catch up on work, but it was worth it. She was so happy to talk to somebody who responds in something other than smiles and burps for the better part of the day, and I missed her so. The baby was the cutest in the world, as well.

What tastes more like a shrimp than a prawn, and vice versa? To you, do they taste more different than veal and tender beef?

I've not had veal, so I can't make that distinction. It's like.... Hmm. To continue with the meat analogy, I'd say it's like comparing bison and your standard beef flank steak. You know how bison has a chewier feel to it and a deeper taste? That's how prawns taste to me. Shrimp taste of salt spray and slide off your palate quickly. Prawns hang around and cozy up to the wine.

Shrimp are the ultimate party hors d'oeuvre. Prawns are a good meal.

I so hated that Freddy and Kendra won. Does anyone know if Kris and Jon were right behind them -- or was there more time?

Oh, also -- rock shrimp (the tiny ones) *do* taste different from the larger dudes -- they taste like lobster. Yum.
