What tastes more like a shrimp than a prawn, and vice versa? To you, do they taste more different than veal and tender beef?

I've not had veal, so I can't make that distinction. It's like.... Hmm. To continue with the meat analogy, I'd say it's like comparing bison and your standard beef flank steak. You know how bison has a chewier feel to it and a deeper taste? That's how prawns taste to me. Shrimp taste of salt spray and slide off your palate quickly. Prawns hang around and cozy up to the wine.

Shrimp are the ultimate party hors d'oeuvre. Prawns are a good meal.

I so hated that Freddy and Kendra won. Does anyone know if Kris and Jon were right behind them -- or was there more time?

Also, I was really noticing last night what an old man Freddy is. (In his manner - I don't know what his actual age is.)

Oh, also -- rock shrimp (the tiny ones) *do* taste different from the larger dudes -- they taste like lobster. Yum.

Hmm. I'm not denying that shrimp and prawns have flavour variety -- just that they seemed so obviously similar to me, I can't imagine using them as an example of distinct tastes in similar shapes. I've had cuts of beef that tasted more distinct than things labelled prawns from things labelled shrimp (in similar dishes, naturally).

Naughty! I meant "naughty" and thought I should check how to spell it and then a tomato made me write "evil" (because that's what the tomato is, see, even if it's so yesterday's Natter).

I was naughty. I went to play instead of work, and the baby will grow up with a bad influence and there's nothing his parents can do to stop it. Already he started playing with his tongue and sticking it out at me, and I imitated him and he imitated me back again and his mom said it would take days for him now to de-learn it. I'm the bad-influence friend. Next thing they'd know, I'll introduce him to chocolate.
