The song in Lahaina, though, is identical to the song in Japan and the song in Baja. And the song shifts at the same time.
It makes me very happy to know this. It is of the coolness.
Not cute!
And my hair is kinda flat today.....
I went up to SF with Alibelle this weekend to have dinner with G&J
Ahem! I may be lurky this month, but I'm still here!
It is. It's one of those unexplained mysteries, like how humpbacks mate or how they give birth (neither of which have been observed). And how long they live. estimates used to be that the lived about 40-60, but now evidence seems to support that some whales that are closely related (bowfin) live to well over 100 and possibly 200 or more years.
If any of this is wrong, it's second hand from the naturalist on the boat.
Not cute!
pfft. so cute. get over it.

Whoo! Medieval people believed the weasel gave birth through the ear. Maybe we can switch that legend over to the whales.
Whale ears? Small. Whale babies? the size of a Volkswagon Bug.
OH! But in related info: Whale ears do have amazing ear wax, since it never falls out. It creates a two-toned rings (like a tree ring) that they were originally using to calculate their age, though inaccurately it seems.
So? We assume stretch ears.
shudder. poor momma whales.
