If I only had a brain...

It's one of those unexplained mysteries, like how humpbacks mate or how they give birth (neither of which have been observed).

Whoo! Medieval people believed the weasel gave birth through the ear. Maybe we can switch that legend over to the whales.

Whale ears? Small. Whale babies? the size of a Volkswagon Bug.

OH! But in related info: Whale ears do have amazing ear wax, since it never falls out. It creates a two-toned rings (like a tree ring) that they were originally using to calculate their age, though inaccurately it seems.

So? We assume stretch ears.

In other news: I'm having a porto's fruit tart right now and it's fucking awesome. the cuban cake? NSM. But the tart = the yum.

And the carmel eclair seems promising.

Why yes, I am still on vacation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm eating a half-chocolate cheesecake with a cakey crust.

It's okay. I had to scrape nuts off the top. Boss¹ has just come by and tsked (closed captioning has recently shown me I've been pronouncing 'tsk' wrong. am chagrined) because there are to be treats in our meeting, it seems.

I can never remember all my questions at once -- traffic school mentioned, repeatedly, the idea of signalling the driver behind you by flashing your brake lights twice. Is there some magic way to do that without, oh, slowing down?

¹: She has removed all my Oxford commas from the project plan. She'd better give me treats.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wish I had cheesecake. I will resist!

Actually, I figured out what might be the perfect afternoon non-snack earlier: A small coffee with one squirt of French Vanilla coffee, the rest decaf, half-n-half, and a little sugar. (Well, sweet-n-low.) Not too French Vanilla-y, not too sweet, not too caffinated, just right.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I can never remember all my questions at once -- traffic school mentioned, repeatedly, the idea of signalling the driver behind you by flashing your brake lights twice. Is there some magic way to do that without, oh, slowing down?

How much slow down are we talking about? Because most cars if you just tap the pedal won't apply any braking but will activate the lights. But you're still going to lose a bit of speed from letting off the accelerator.
