I've never read it as a specific recipe, but rather any of the class of short (i.e. made with fat) dough breads (which would include shortcake, shortbread and biscuits, but egg-based cakes like gingerbread are a stretch). Or, you know, cute regional pronunciation thereof.

At least it can sit on the floor. And at least it's smaller than the Cube power supply.
